PhD in Anthropology
In order to do a PhD in Social Anthropology at the University of Basel, several formal criteria need to be fulfilled:
- Excellent MA in anthropology or from a neighbouring discipline;
- Research interest has to fit into one of three research areas in which the Institute offers key competences and supervision: political transformations, visual culture and medical anthropology;
- Written PhD pre-proposal [PDF (74 KB)].
